Hi,

I have a weird issue that I have had on a few projects now. I dont think its an error on my part, but a glitch.

In a brochure document I have a DPS where there are sinks and taps on the right side. I have buttons with each of the products that changes to an object state (so chrome button loads up chrome tap). On this page, a sink works, a unit works, but then the taps make the left page load up with the taps, text and buttons int he same place, but the rest of the page is blank, and even more strangely they work.
A similar thing happend on another job where I had a plus sign button under a heading to reveal a text box. Ironically, these are in a similar position.
If i move the item to the left page, i dont get any issues.

Is this a know issue? What can i do to get around this issue?

Many thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy, would you be able to send us your InDesign file or a sample file that recreates the issue and your html5_output folder to troubleshoot? You can send both of those here:

I replied via email, but for anyone else with a similar issue here's more information about the setup and how to address it:

The layout was a flipbook with content on both pages in the spread grouped with an animation applied. The MSO and the buttons were on the right page.

Here's what I did to make it work:

  1. Ungroup the content on the spread.
  2. Group the content on the left page and reapply the Fade In animation preset to it.
  3. Group the content on the right page and reapply the Fade In animation preset to it.
  4. In the Timing panel (Window > Interactive > Timing), link these groups and move them to the top of the Timing panel.
  5. When you export by going to the in5 > Easy Export Wizard..., click the Advanced button, go to the Advanced section of the Export HTML5 with in5 dialog, and deselect Allow Page Items to Span Across Pages within Spreads.
